Webster Co. Sheriff’s Office announces passing of former deputy

WEBSTER CO., Ky. (WFIE) - The Webster County Sheriff’s Office announced on Wednesday that one of their long-time deputies has died.

Officials say the former deputy was Jimmy Woolfork.

The sheriff’s office says Deputy Woolfork was a staple of law enforcement in their community and he will be missed.

His family tells 14 News that his funeral services will be on Saturday at Pleasant Hill Missionary Baptist Church in Providence, Ky.

A viewing will be held from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. prior to the start of the service.
