EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) - A great way to get active and get outdoors is coming to USI!
The university broke ground Monday on a one acre trail, dedicated to mountain biking.
It will feature three downhill runs complete with dirt jumps and bermed corners for all skill levels.
“It’s going to provide an opportunity for students to get outside and be more active, and it’s proven to improve individuals health and well being by doing so,” said Brad Scales with Trail Heads Southwest Indiana.
Officials from the university also announced the second phase of the trail, for which they are raising funds.
Phase two will include a nearly three-mile loop on campus.
