OWENSBORO, Ky. (WFIE) - Owensboro Police say the intersection of East 18th Street and JR Miller Boulevard was closed for several hours on Sunday morning due to a fatal car crash.

Officials say police responded to the intersection of East 18th Street and JR Miller Boulevard for a crash involving three vehicles where multiple people were injured.

According to a press release the Owensboro Fire Department and emergency services responded to assist in the crash.

Officials say the people injured during the crash were taken to the hospital for treatment.

Police say the driver of one of the vehicles, later identified as 62-year-old Susan Moxley of Owensboro, died as a result of her injuries.

Officials say the intersection is back open as of Monday morning.
