EVANSVILLE, IN (WFIE) - Finals week can be a stressful time for both teachers and students so one local school is trying to relieve some of that stress.
This week at Ivy Tech, the school is trying to relieve some of that stress by hosting Paws and Relax. Several therapy dogs will be on hand to give students the opportunity to relax and enjoy the animals.
We spoke to one therapy dog owner, who says everywhere she takes the dogs, they bring smiles to peoples faces.
“We go to hospitals and rehab centers and you can see the patients eyes light up," explains therapy dog owner Lauren Kincaid. "Not everybody likes dogs I mean that’s just a fact of life but, these two seem to get to everybody and you see the smiles and you know that for at least a few minutes that day you’ve made somebody smile and it makes it worthwhile.”
In addition to the dogs, there will also be cats, and a mini horse throughout the week.
